sorry to hear about your duck. was she ok yesterday when the vet was there?????

The funniest think has been going on here the last two days. Our smallest magpie (drake) has been giving my mean old BR rooster a run for his money. the duck has been running circles around the roo and bites him in the chest then the butt , then the chest then butt again. the poor old roo don't know what to do. he jumbed a foot in the air when the duck nailed him in the rear.

Saturday I'll be in Wenatchee.
Is there anyone that need chicks?
I'll have to check the inventory on what you'd like but I could bring some over.
If you interested and live in the area let me know I'll be over.

I think we have more than just a chicken rustler amongst us.

I noticed that my WHITE EGG laying chicken never returned from her DNA test

Just in case somebody is going to try to hatch the olive eggs. They have been in the fridge for about a week so don't know if they will hatch but feel free to try.

Well finally one of our 3 OEGB laid. It's been a month since I moved ours and added 2. This afternoon we were out in the yard and heard the song so go to see and I think it was one of the new ones. And when Diane opened the coop she was so eggscited to find that beautiful little cream colored egg.
Of course they start the day after the party.

I had planned to bring 6 of thier eggs to Mr. Ron for my admission.

Typical, about 24 hours and 4 pages....I'm so sorry I couldn't stay longer, it was really fun meeting other normal, but chicken crazy people! We'd be happy to host a summer party in Olympia if that works for others. Did Russ really make all those cobblers? Where they all different? and what happened to them--We thought about sneaking one off....

OK So I confess to finding the body of the a fore mentioned "WHITE EGG laying chicken". Due to the a fore body being left in the frozen far Northern climes of unknown counties. This here bird is now being held a hostage, in the very slightly warmer climate more Southerly Climate. Even though it is emotionally warmer climate, the poor naked little bird doesn't seem to care much one way or another. This bird maybe ransomed at a future date.

As for cobblers when the carcass is ransomed back I could make sure that a cobbler some how makes it your way. After all I do believe that you reside in a dividing county or two, not mention in a town near the main north south freeway system.

So if all parties involved wish to discuss this further, I am up for negotiating.

Russ made those cobblers for us to take home (at least thats what I was told)

Chicken rustler
I think you traded that White chicken (for DNA) for a wind up chicken (also white) that poops gumballs

.. Look on the bright side. It will NEVER need batteries

Justbugged

I think you are STUCK with the little naked white (if it really was white) bird. Keep it in the freezer and we can BBQ it at the next party

Did that little old gray hair man in the black shirt and jeans( in the pictures) make it safely back to the Old Folks Home sunday night?

I thought that it was very nice that the little old man was able to find his way to us to at least get a good meal during his attempted sunday escape! I think I saw him down on the corner waving his cane at the bus as we left.

Hope he made it safely to where ever he thought he was going.

I still haven't seen anybody aknowledge any information about the "GREEN EGGS-N-HAM" !!!!

Just to make it clear. THIS IS ALL IN FUN for me and it just makes me feel good that somebody liked the things I brought enough that they would want to adopt them.

And while we are on the subject. I have to fess up. We were almost to Olympia before I discovered that I had a hot chick from the party with me. Seems that Diane really liked Ron's little wind up chicken. Well she saw it setting out on the table and thought he had put it there for somebody to have if they wanted. I did call Ron and fess up as soon as I knew. I am sorry but this is one of the child type things she does (some times) related to the stroke. I try to keep an eye on it but sometimes I miss things.

This hostage negotiation is going down the tubes along with the morning. Uff da! I hope everyone knows that adoptions only cost money, whereas hostages should be much more profitable than this one. I am so disappointed now.

I guess I could hold on to the poor little carcass. Although I think I am going to have to just wave it around the soup pot for flavor. There is just not enough meat on it for BBQ. I also confess I don't have any green eggs and ham, but what was here on the farm before I left, so Rob's green eggs and ham are still a mystery.

Looks like Washington is represented here:) I live two miles outside of Everson city limits on a 26-acre farm; seven of which is marsh. Mostly hay-producing (1200-1400 bales/year) but we have our share of livestock. If you visit my BYC page, you will see the most recent additions!
