I think it was WA4-HPoultryMom that said it was cool to have a barn, then seperate pens inside for the birds...easier to feed, and heat...sounds like a good idea as long as you are not living in the barn

I am planning on getting dozens of ring neck pheasant and chuckar partridge eggs, maybe some wild turkey eggs too, from Dad-in-law and set them free out here.
We live across the street from a huge brackish marsh that has grasses up to 5 foot tall in summer, all surrounding the river and it is a protected flood-zone and wildlife area...awesome...never will be built upon.
I'd love to set native species free.

Okay, DH was reading over my shoulder and saw Chicken Rustler's name and chuckled. I told them that I have heard there is a story behind that name....is this true? Can we be told the story? I hear it is a good one.

I hear it is true and therefore did not want him to get my address cuz he is sooo close by...but then there is google earth, map quest and all...and he told me he did not need my address...that he could find me !

And, what do you all think about Zenyatta ?

Also, DH on his way to his Dad's Game Farm in NorCal, and Dad has told DH that he is celaning up and boxng several of his small incubators for me to have

Last time I was down there he had 4 or 4 Brinseas and 2 MONSTER cabinet incubators.

I know that some were the octagon cylindrical type, yellow, that was brinseas I am almost positive ?
I am so excited !

I gotta go finish framing in the Marans addition...
