Okay, I forgot to add to my previous post that my hens had their own Thanksgiving. They got all the veggie clippings, all the scrappings from everyone's plates and then by Friday night, no one wanted any more pecan pie (too sweet) and an apple pie my mother bought locally (ick) and then there was the half eaten rolls and the crescents (sp?) that were left out over night....so my girls ate good. I think I might have even heard a burp coming from out there.

The other day I made some homemade suet bars. I put 1 in the run, the girls were loving it. I had 4 others that I left outside on the picnic table.....well, guess what the puppies found yesterday while I was gone......Lil' brats. They scraped and ate most of 2, the other 2 are still okay. Puppies had tummy aches last night.

Your a funny guy Rustler.

I was just thinking a couple days ago about the potluck and was there any interest in having another. I'd be up for another, I enjoyed meeting my fellow chickenonians.

Russ- and as I recall RonB was the professional baker, I just dabble.

What a chicken party? When? Where? I would love to come, weather permitting. Is there place for me to pull my camp trailer over to stay in? Am I invited (this should have probably been the first question

I hear ya. Like last year it was 100+ miles for us. But I also understsand that it should be where the majority can make it. Unfortunately that is one of the benefits (?) of living away from the city. Just imagine down here. If we had one of our own it would be like me and DW and Lasombra. What a party. Hey at least I wouldn't have to worry about eating too much and ruining my girly figure.
