It was about 3:30 or 4PM that she finally called me, said she couldn't make it to my place because - Then she cut out.

I'm sorry Illia, as I was trying to tell you, we were having issues getting the filly loaded into my trailer... It took us 2 hours to get her in. We ended up building a ramp and backing her in. I was really looking forward to stopping by and meeting you today, and was really bumbed out that it didn't work out. When I called you I had 1 bar of signal, and didn't get signal again until we were in P.A.

So yeah, I was a no show, and feel really bad about it too...

Sorry

Pshh, don't worry - When you first cut out and I didn't realize, I was telling you how I figured we'd probably not meet up anyway because I forgot to mention that cellphone reception is either terrible or not at all out here.

And I know how you feel about the horse loading!

As rumors start to boil I must come in and assure everyone that...

Washington Feather Fanciers has never combined shows with the Pacific Northwest Poultry Association. As long as I have been involved with the club.

Washington Feather Fanicers is also not "planning" on combining or canceling any poultry shows.

Thanks everyone for attending the show, it was great meeting everyone.

The finals that I can remember off the top of my head are as follows.

Champion of Show was a White Aracauna Cock Bird by Steve Waters
Reserve Champion of Show was a Black Cochin Bantam by Joe Mazur

Reserve Champ Large Fowl was a Black Langshan Cock by Tony Albritton

Once I get a full report it will be put into our club newletter.

Join Washington Feather Fanicers to keep up on the shows and the news and happenings with Washington Feather Fanciers.

Well at least she hauld lik a dream, it was just getting her in there. I have NEVER had to back a horse into a trailer... Her feet are pretty bad, she's 18 months old, and has only ever had her front feet trimmed once... Her back feet kinda worry me, but I'm hoping that because she's so young, that with my farriers help, that I can get them looking "normal" again...

She is totally cute, but needs alot of work.

That old airport hangor is creepy at dusk...

Wanna hear creepy? The airport itself is still in use, and in fact, not only has it been expanded, fenced off, roads closed around it, but we also pay more of our taxes towards it, and what do we see? Nothing but the occasional military fighter jet sitting around in the back. No new buildings, nothing. . .

And they practice over us SOOO many times and so low and obnoxious it drives m insane.

That would drive me nutts. I noticed all the shut down roads, and empty properties. Once we got passed that old hangor, and turned onto the airport road, my imediate thought was, "wow this area is pretty kept up..." But then when I noticed no houses, just empty lots and blocked roads... I wondered.

The high winds have been blowing in North Bend for 4 days now with gusts up to 65 mph. I hate wind. Chickens aren't thrilled with it either, even with multiple 8' 1"x3"'s and lots of bungees, the tarps are still being blown off the coop runs, and when the do stay put, I'm afraid the run may turn into a sail and fly off with my coop!

Down in town, the winds all come down from the mountains and blow towards the NNW, but up here the big gusts seem to go one way, bounce off a mountain, and then come back another!
