Hey quick question: This cord of wood I am stacking is wet, heavy, about half seasoned, so I am thinking I will not cover it up, we will not be using it until next year so if I cover it will not dry as well, true ?
Well, I will stack some more and be back in a while...wow it is kicking my fanny, out of shape !

Love it. I am sure - somewhere out there - that someone will complain about slug abuse. But, I think it is funny. Slugs on our side of the mtns are not quite as big...but I know when there are slugs in my garden because of the holes in the leaves. Another fun bug to give chickens are those big horned tomato catepillars. The chickens LOVE them.

When my hens were babies we went to the pet store and bought meal worms and fed it to the chicks...oh my gosh....they went nuts.

It's fun to catch crickets/grasshoppers for them too! Throw it in the middle of the run, so it can't hop RIGHT out, and watch the birds go NUTS!!

My Chickens won't touch fuzzy Caterpillar.

I have never taken a goat to the vet.

Never taken a goat to the vet, never will as long as I live here. Our local vet is brand new out of college and has no experience with livestock, plus our previous vet nearly killed a few of our horses and has killed other people's cats before in "accidents."

The next vet is 70+ miles away and will likely cost a fortune.
