I realize I'm showing my age, but before Paypal, we used to write checks and put them in snail mail.

not sure where the bees are kept, one of my ta's in my entom class is doing her masters or Phd on bees.

right now i am in plant propagation, biology 107, and entomology 340 labs. haven't gotten to see the bees. maybe they have some spare queens?

Since I am not sure which area to pose this question, I know I am safe here with you all.

It was recommended to me to get RIR's for our layers, but Rikke wants to have like 2 of this and 2 of this and 2 of that one and some of these, and so on.. and 1 roo.

help please.

I'm not sure what the question is, but I have a mixed flock and am quite happy with it. I want more kinds.

Most RIRs from hatcheries are production reds. They are egg laying machines, but only for about a year or so. If they are all you have, your egg production will end rather abruptly. So get a bunch of different kinds. You can always specialize later when you know more about the different kinds.

Yes, sorry I am somewhat daft at times, thank you for reading my mind across the ether. The question was will it be Ok for our girls to be of mixed breeds for the first while until we decide on the ones my we want.

thanks again!

That is why it is such a scary thought. She has driven the Loup so many times she probably could do it in her sleep. Where in Winthrop did you work? I worked at the Riverside Rib Co. - many, many, many years ago.

How are you feeling? How is the pregnancy going?

I worked for Beauty Schools Directory--it was an online business....it was in the Windemere building (upstairs) then the boss dude sold it to a company back east for like $10 million or so. Right before that I got the job with the county...

I'm doing a little bit better...the morning sickness has been easing up a little bit but has been replaced by terrible acid-reflux and heartburn.

Well, you might want to get used to the hearburn.....it seems they continue to give that to you (well at least me). The 17 yo is constantly making me worry about his decisions (so I get tummy ache)....The 15 yo has an ego that is so overinflated (heartburn - tummyache) and the 9 yo DD is starting to get chest bumps (boobs)- this is giving daddy heartburn too. All the girly drama is also starting.

So, it may improve...but it just kinda changes and comes on for other reasons. LOL.

- I just checked my email and was about to say someone else is interested too, then saw it was you.

Nope, noone else has called for them. The cockerels are $25 each, the girls are $15 each.

My goodness, you're on the other side of the mountains? That I didn't realize. Well, on Feb 2nd I have a friend who's coming up to Seattle and may be willing to bring them up, but otherwise, I don't know how I can help you.

IF I have room, I am leaving for the Methow on Thursday afternoon.... Keep in mind I have a jeep wrangler, loaded with ski gear and a 14 yo boy.. he takes more stuff than I do!!

Oh, my...how long you going to be here? Would be nice to meet for coffee or something or lunch or ice cream cone....just fun. Coming over to visit family?
