Simple green?? Baking soda simple green and bleach = excellent cleaner

I've got all those .... I use SG to wash walls.

I just got my first package of bees last spring but they did well and I was able to extract 20# (1 1/2 gal) of honey. CL can tell ya how nasty it was.

Wow, lots of action lately. . .

Well today was fun. Culled two young cockerels, grilled some delicious chicken, called up a lady about some free roosters she has (gonna pick em up tomorrow) and finally my Shamo pullet is laying again. . .

Also, my babies in the bator are due to hatch in just 5 days!!!!

Did any of you have cats on your property before you got chickens ? How did you deal with their interaction knowing you want to free range your chickens ? Thoughts ?

It's our new kittens that are really dumb and annoying. Luckily though when they hit the pastures where most of the hens are, they're too "lost" in such a large new place to bother chasing anyone. But up on the main lawn. . .

But now we've got an amazing cat repellent called Shamo chickens!!

MmMMmm 'home' made honey I bet it was Nasty Tastin!!

I imagine it was hard to find takers!

Every time we do an inspection there is plenty of brood and everything is healthy and happy. Our friend jack is 93 and has been keeping bees for Ohh a hunnert years and he is passing on his knowledge to Nathan.. I am just the bystander.

What's the minimum order? I thought they were $9.50/chick? How many are you wanting?

12 chick minimum @ $9.50/chick (or thereabouts) + $45 for the shipping & box. Really all we would want is 2 or 3. Maybe we can just buy a couple from someone. ???

I hope they arent too loud. One of the signs of a happy healthy hive is that it is very quiet. you should barely be able to hear them. 50-60 db is good 80 db is problems brewing.
