They taste alot like a rutabaga....which tastes like a strong cabbage, they are all cabbagy vegies.

What is a CSA box ~????????????????
I LOVE kiwi..peel with a sharp knife and slice and eat..YUM.
Good on yer granola or cream-cheese and bagel.
Or sliced on a salad with raspberry-walnut vinergrett or cran-rasp vinegret..YUM..Itlaians toss fruit and veg in their salads, and kiwi and madarine oranges on baby greens tossed with afore mentioned dressing, sprinkle with slivered almonds or walnuts....YUM!
Kiwi are also good in Japanese or Chinese type stir fry.

I believe I posted the dimensions of the French Door with the original message, but that was pages and pages ago! I'm going into the shop tomorrow and will measure again and send you a PM. I don't blame Mr. Hallerlake for not wanting to take the journey for a door that might not fit.

Ah, that worries me, especially if you're head is still hurting. It can indicate internal hemorrhaging. A good friend of my parents fell and hit his head on the ice, had a headache for three days and it did not end well for him. Can you stop in and see your doctor sometime today Heather? I dont' think head injuries are anything to mess about with. I'd better be safe than sorry.

Parsnips are also good glazed with brown sugar and butter, like swt potatoes at Thanksgiving. Marshmallows are optional.

CL, about the avatar, came across it yesterday looking for pix for another one of the fun threads. I think it was an ad for drain cleaner from another country. It had a bottle of Kwik-Kleen in the corner. I cropped out the center.
I used to play a little with bonsai, but found I need faster gratification.

Now I stick to smaller deck trees. Weyerhauser used to have a e, world class, bonsai museum in Federal Way.

She's trying to make the students think beyond the obvious. Look what happened here. People started actually thinking about the tomb, and it's conditions to figure out how it would taste. Just because the assignment isn't easy for your son doesn't mean it's a bad assignment. Doing things that are hard for us and outside our comfort zone is good for us. It's about the process. It's hard for a parent to see our kids frustrated, but that's how they learn to deal with frustration.

Hershey bars have to be unwrapped to be eaten. Wrappers make sounds.

Can you tell I used to teach?

Well it would taste like dust and sand.

I agree that is a dumb assignment.

OW! Do you have yaktrax or something for icy conditions?

I was out of the country when it came to Seattle. Broke my heart not to see it. Maybe some day I'll get to Egypt if the Muslim extremists don't destroy everything they can get their hands on like they did in Afghanistan.

Good point! Hadn't thought of the perfumes and stuff, even though he wrote they were in there. Likely smelled nice in the firs few years, but 4,000 years later (or whatever it has been) it would likely have lost its nice scent.

I hope to someday travel with our kids and see some of the world (we did see Jamestown, though he has not studied much U.S. History). The only mummies he has seen are the ones at Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe!

When I was his age (30+ years ago), I saw the treasures of King Tut's tombs when the exhibit traveled to the DeYoung museum in San Francisco. San Jose, where I grew up, also has the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum which is full of wonderful artifacts. I think I will take him there next time I go visit my family.

I saw the King Tut exhibit when it traveled through Seattle. My brother and I were so tired that as we went from room to room, we would look at everything and then go sit in a corner and fall asleep until the adults were ready to leave that room.
