Thanks for the tips. I do have some chicken wire I have not used yet (hadn't thought of that) that I bought a year or so ago. I may use that.

My feeders are the bucket feeders like CL has. I put them outside, thinking it was cleaner (but the wild birds come in). I do have tops on the buckets.

Not Machias, Monroe area.
My Mom lives in Brewster, Dad lives in Coolie City, Daughter in wanachee.
Were you saying something about otherside of mountains?
I could make more than one arrangement.

Sorry about your hen.

New weather report. The nasty little dog thinks that there is thunder and or lighting out side. I didn't know that the nasty little dog could move that fast.

We got snow so has it snowed in town yet? My husband on the way home from Renton said it was really coming down and the road was white.

So much for working outside, I did take Daisy for a date with a buck. Not really loving the idea of kids at the end of July..

Oh Chicken Rustler
Im going to ask my girlfriend if we can stop on the way back home on Sat and pick up the feeders, Im going to talk to her tomorrow and I'll let you know ok. Oh and how many I want too..

I keep thinking its Monday..

So sorry to hear about the tramatic death of your birdie.

It can't be your fault. You did all you knew how to.
Maybe you can kill the paracites by torching down thedirt in the run?
Sprinkle bleach on it afterwards?

just an idea.
I wonder if I should bleach my duckie's water too.
They'll be sparkley clean.

Thank you blueducklings. I have spray bleached down everything that would not stand still. I am hoping this way to easily remove the waste and to have it in a more contained fashion will help. Also, the chlorinated water is for them to drink. I just don't understand why I am having so much problems. My runs and house are clean (by chicken standards). You would have sparkling white duckies if you did their water. LOL. Torching the dirt is an interesting thought. I wonder if that would do anything? Couldn't hurt, right?

Chlorine will not kill the cocci oocytes. Oxine will kill them though.
