So, stupid fat old warty chickielady decided to set a bunch of eggs she has been saving up, a buyer backed out on a dozen blue ameraucana eggs and I already had OEs and cuckoos saved up and a few lemon Blue Cochins...so I came in the house to write it on my calendar on today, the 2nd, and I noticed that TOMORROW is the W &BW Ameraucana pip, not today.
Stupid old warty mean chickielady.

Tomorrow is one set, and Friday is the second set plus more blue ams in there too.
So, see all day I thought it was Thursday ??

Even with all the weather today, it was a good one around my house! I went to Home Depot and picked up a 1"x2"x6' Pine board that is fairly straight to make the rest of the brooder top out of...the single 8' board I got yesterday was only enough to do one long side and the two short sides, lol. Then, I went to my first day of my basketweaving class. I even finished a basket already! I can see myself spending a lot of money to do that as a continueing hibby...I only wish we were going to be doing some with willow rather than the reeds and seagrass. My little "melon basket" is the perfect size for collecting eggs with though when my gals are old enough to start doing that.

The corned beef I have going in the crock pot wasn't done for dinner, so we had Burger King tonight and will have reheated corned beef tommorow, lol. But, I did get to go to the store and pick up a new hanging planter for the Pothos I picked up a few days ago. I feel bad having it in that tiny pot still!

Hopefully I can finish the brooder lid tommorow and the weather will clear up enough for me to continue work on the coop!

Gosh, I have 3 coops to build !
Everytime I start, it rains or snows..so I gave up and am waiting for sun.
I want to get the coops done so we will be free this summer to get to work on the house !

Speaking of building coops.... Today DW wanted to see in the "new" banty coop. It's still on the trailer with the doo screwed shut. So we looked in and I realized that what is in it for a roost is smaller than I use for my banties. It is a 1" dowel. And this was for LF. There were a cuckoo moran, 2 BO, 1 BA and one EE using this. Well they were supposed to be but decided to roost in the trees. Gee I wonder why !!!!

Yeah, it really sucked!
Now i have my dogs (who like to try and groom the chickens) in the yard.
Any other ideas? I also have a ton of ducks that don't fit in my coop lol (they do try though).
