Well I don't think I was that hard to find. I had all the ladies flocking around, ok so it was only to look at my metal work. I saw you several times but you kind of looked like you may not have been feeling very social so I didn't say much. Yes I can make more signs BUT THAT DESIGN NOW BELONGS TO HI. I will do similar but not the same.

I was so surprised when Mama Rainwolf walked up and said HI...and talked for a while then POOF!
She was gone.
But yes she behaved herself and was as usual, adorable !!!

Nice pictures of everyone! I'm not very photogenic so no pic of me is a "good thing". Have to say again it was a fun time. Like Christi said, nice to spend the day with a bunch of people as crazy about chickens as I am.

So I originally posted this in Chicken behaviors but haven't gotten an answer. Do hens ever "breed" other hens? I was out today and Jessi (australorp hen 1.5years old) was for all intensive purposes breeding Noodles (Wyndotte 5years). Jessi is usually the lowest of the low on the totem pole with Noodles being the Alpha Hen keeping everyone else in order. Noodles didn't even seem to try to fight Jessi off, actually squated down for her. So have I been wrong all this time about Jessi being a hen? If so are there ever Roosters that don't crow? All my hens decided to have a communal nest so I never know who lays what as to know if Jessi lays or not. She has larger wattle/comb but I just figured that's how australorps looked? I was thinking maybe this was a dominancy thing?
