I thought, at first, that you were joking. maybe it is because it is so early....but this is awful. but what an image.

If it weren't so tragic, it would be funny.

that is what I was thinking too.

Hey, i was wondering if anyone near Pierce county has room to board Muscovy ducks and a few egg laying hens.
I could pay for room and board. My neighbor is suing us over them.

I've had turkeys, ducks, and chickens for close to 3 years, lived in this house for 5 and he is doing this now.

I have about 18 ducks and 10 hens (give or take a few).

Please, if anyone out there has room i would be forever grateful.
I hope to be out of this house one way or another in about 6-8 months.

OMG That is sooo cute!
I had a Barred Rock hen (out of a flock of 25) that insisted she lay her egg daily, in my washing machine!
She would flip out, pacing back & forth & fly up on the lid and scream at me if the lid was down.
She would get in the washer tub then, nice & quiet, and lay her giant egg!
The garage door and the washing machine lid always had to be opened, daily, just for her.
We called her "May" after Maytage..

I had forgotten about that.
I am glad she never went broody in my washer

well that was pretty much it today, who knew a tiny little hen could sound like a giant osprey waiting to kill something!! funny little creatures arent they!
I had a corner of that coop wired off with roost bars for them, as I was only sposed to have like 4 or 5 chickens for eggs...apparently I did not know about chicken math when we made that. do now!! I took half and split it, roost on one side, serama go where they want on the other and then I will be able to put a brooder box and feed and stuff in the other half. its an old rickety shed and one side of the ceiling is taller than the other but it works, has electric, which I have to fix...chopped the wire in half when cutting the pop door lol, oops... but it has two windows and plug ins and stuff, room for quite a few. I am happy.

no worries on the eggs, They will make it or not. I taped the switch, son washed my car and truck, DH tore down and started rebuilding my coop... but when you see my surprise you will be happy, so hurry home! safely!
