Ah yes!!! I remember reading that just recently! Man my brain is like swiss cheese these days. Nasty stuff, and wouldn't it make the eggs taste or smell funny?

It will if you give cheap stuff in big doses but you should be able to get deodorized cod liver oil at the health food store.

I don't know why I didn't think of it- like others in this thread I had a D titre taken last year and was way scary "why are you alive" low.

It's the construction plans taking up all my forebrain. Especially since Ian pecked my daughter tonight and now I'm trying to figure out how to get the hoop house braced and covered and the doors framed AND simultaneously finish the coop and run (finish putting the hardware cloth on the south and east sides, put on the gate/ramp, insulate and roof and paint the exterior surfaces of the north and west walls) for the big Wyandottes so Ian can have more room to move and a view of the world. Losing half of today to a dental appointment was not helpful.

Yourpost made me tired just reading it!!! That's a lot of stuff to do. Whew!

It's made more exhausting by the fact that the big Wyandotte run is eighty feet away and twenty feet uphill from the hoop house; it's shorter to go through the house than around it but still a pain in the patoot when I only have one set of tools that I need to pack back and forth while glue dries. Also, the wire is in big rolls up at the coop, and I'll have to cut it there and drag it around the house to cover the hoop house.

I don't know if I get The Nephew tomorrow; we must hope, because then he can drag the wire around. and I'll get the doors made and the hardware cloth on the coop.

You have to do the over night starve (not even coffee) then they feed ya a sticky little cup full of glucose, and take you blood sample every half hour.
The bad part is it is BORING and HURTS!!!!!!!

Yeah...this is the 3 hour test. She said I have to fast (nothing but water) from the night before. Then they will draw my blood when I get there. Then I drink the glucose--which wasn't a cup--it was a BIG bottle of crap! Then I wait an hour, they draw my blood. Then I wait another hours, they draw my blood. And finally, another hour and another blood draw!

They can never find veins on me so I'll be getting stabbed in my hands & wrists, more than likely.

Heather, I am so sorry you have to do this. You will be in my thoughts.

if your feet are really swollen its time to slow down a bit. I have had one of the 3 hr tests they found nothing but I was not pg then either. It was because i passed out. I have these issues from time to time where I pass out and they can never figure out why.

I just had one of those pass out things in april but it was a pretty bad one cuz I stopped breathing. Got a fun ride to the hospital too

rain scald is a fungus... it happens to animals out in the weather... wet weather. CL probably has a better description but horses get it and a good anti fungal bath every couple of days among other things will clear it up
