Bantam Cochin pullet stealing greens from my green-house: (she liked the spinach best - it's gone. tried the bok choy and did not like it, sampled a bit more of the rainbow chard, some squash, and ate all the leaves she could reach from the basil and the thai hot peppers)

Hey I am 20 miles from the nearest town of (I think about) 6,000 But I am a go getter.

14 miles from the nearest town of 3,700. 74 miles from the second nearest town of under 20,000. 5 hours from Seattle, Olympia, etc.

There's also very few chicken owners out here, even fewer who keep their chickens for longer than 2 years and/or have more than 10 chickens. Even fewer who breed their own.

I've yet to see a Craigslist ad for anything remotely useful, cheap/free, and poultry related for less than a 3 hour drive.

The saddle was supposed to be for my EE hen, but it is too big for her.
I'd be interested in a golden duckwing pullet - more eye-candy! I think a saddle may just end up at your place.

Duracell has a much more proper color but a terribly squirreled tail, while Flop has a beautiful tail yet also white in the primary feathers. They both have their pro's and con's.

These bantam cochin boys need new homes; no charge for those who won't eat them.

(I roasted a cockeral, full size, not banty, I got from Scott. It was already processed and frozen. It was GOOOD! My family thought the best we'ver ever had.)

Thanks for the input!

I noticed the wierd tail today when I was out taking photos - I had not ever noticed it before and wondered if he had a battle with something. Those 2 big feathers seemed to pop up from nowhere!

The 3 cockerals I traded for processed cockerals were colored more like Duracell, two were a bit darker but not as dark as Flop. They were the friendliest but a bit smaller than Duracell. I kept Duracell because he grew way faster than the rest, and Flop because he was the runt (therefore DD's favorite), a very weak, small chick who grew way slower than the rest. He is the only one who had any white. Now he and Duracell are nearly the same size! I keep saying I will get rid of one, but they all seem to get along.

ME! ME! ME!!!!

After you came over and talked about it my DDs and I looked it up online & we want to go but it was a bit out of my price range... but this fits perfectly in the budget!!! So where are the best seats??

We will be looking for you! (running around crazy!!

Great! I was hoping you might be able to fit seeing the show into your schedule! There probably aren't any bad seats but the best would be the main section, center, rather than the side seats. Arrive by 7 at the latest since it's a free preview folks will be jockeying for seats. I will be running around taking care of business but I will be looking for you and the girls before the show. Yay! I'm looking forward to seeing you guys there!
