Well I am very happy that Miss Dottie decided to come home.

All this talk about old dogs is more than worrisome at our house too. My dear old Puppy is now 12.5 years old. I really didn't expect that he would still be with us at this point. At his age he is really old for a Mastiff sized dog. I do know that in talking to his breeder, that he has out lived his litter mates that the breeder still knew about, and he has lived longer than both his parents.

Sometimes I think that I am going to be okay when he goes, and then there are days when I know that I am not going to okay without him. He is the last really big dog for DH and I.

We had a scare earlier this evening. We realized that neither of us had seen Charlie since Saturday night. We checked every closet and cupboard. We walked around the neighborhood calling (he's an indoor cat, but we thought maybe he'd slipped out). Ogress.... did you order the clear tarps yet?

Chickielady... did you get resolution on the flawed tarp?

The reason I ask is that I got mine on Friday and put it up today. I was more than half done when my husband found HOLES! There's a line of holes extending the Entire Length of the tarp, right in the middle. Dang! It's at the point where they overlapped the edges of the white mesh on the inside of the clear plastic. I wrote to the company and sent photos. I asked them to send me a new one. But I hate to have to take apart what I just finished. We'll see.
