Well, I would take a photo of the serama baby...but I would get booted off of BYC for inapropriate photo....

Let's just generalize it. I am female. The serama baby is right now under my sweater, sitting on my chest, lodged....well you get the idea. It is making baby love-love sounds. It is very happy right now.

I remamber (I think it was) CL telling us about someone who incubated some eggs in their bra - while wearing it. Funny.

Seramas are very-very friendly and this little one has taken to me from the beginning. I put my hand in the brooder box and it will hop on my hand and not want off.

Normally I would say no, but honestly lately I've been finding a good number of my super slow feather growers to be male, so, the stumpy feathered one there might be a male. The only definite way to tell though is wait til it grows to be around 7 weeks old.

Well I should band them and watch to see what happens. That would be 3 males and 2 females. Will be interesting to see. Thanks for the input. I actually, was kind of thinking I had read that very bit of information somewhere...but could not remember.

BB code on here is very similiar to HTML in the way you start and stop the "tags" [or what is inside the square brackets]

It should be [ tag ] text [ / end tag ]

(Although none of the spaces should be in any of these "tags"...but you would not be able to see them if I didn't include them!)

So here is a "nested" quote (in a real post - take out the spaces!)

[ quote = justbugged ] [ quote = cheryl98117 ] [ quote = dawng ] [ quote = 4cats3kids1hubby2many ]

Text 1 from just bugged
[ / quote ]

Text 2 from cheryl98117
[ / quote ]

Text 3 from dawng
[ / quote ]

Text 4 from 4cats3kids1hubby2many
[ / quote ]

And so on...

Hope this helps someone!

I would be interested to know if this is the case too. I haven't kept track of my previous hatches, but yes, generally slower wing feathers mean male, longer female, but it doesn't work for all breeds. There's a photo somewhere that show's a more detailed image. Here I found it.

I read a couple posts about emergency hatches in their bra...at work LOL somewhere here...in the incubating section

It'd be good in an emergency as long as you had several willing people...I bet guys could incubate 2!

We just moved here to Graham last year. I like it here but we're almost to close to town for me. And I get to have the animals I wanted.
