Okay, I think I can have a glass of wine too...sounds good to me...it is almost 5. Merlot here. Played mario cart with DS and got motion sickness. I can't play those games. Gonna clean more house.

I do that here too - DH won't touch veggies unless it is spinach or tomato sauce he has a friend who is even worse. He was over for dinner and had thirds of the lasagna - the sauce had all sorts of veggies blended into it, and I grind zucchini and mix it with the meat. It was funny listening to the two of them saying they would certainly notice if I had snuck anything into the sauce. I just cover it with lots of spices and cheese.

Man! I wish I could go to the show!! Every year DH's grandparents have us over for gingerbread making and decorating.(for the kids) Lol! We adults just help and eat, drink and be merry! It's fun, but I wish I could come to the show too!

Well come to the show. We can make gingerbread coops and eat and be merry.

I wanna make gingerbread coops too!!!

We had just a little snow left when I got up this am. It is cold and windy and very rainy. DD and DS had their last soccer games today (and DD did not make it to the finals

) After the scheduled game, the girls played the parents and the wind and rain really came down hard then! Brrr - especially since we got a call at 10:30 this am asking where we were (I thought the game was at 11). Ooops! We ran out the door without our coats. Luckily I had a blanket in the car, though it was not much good once it was soaked with rain.

I wouldn't be surprised if it snows again tonight. I got all the animal feeders loaded, bowls filled, heat on in the dog cabin. I hate that the dogs are not in the house, but Shasta chews everything. I have to crate her when she is in the house, and then she whines when Willow wanders the house with us. The have a 10X12 garden shed with a big outdoor run they can access any time. The run has a couple dog houses in it as Shasta prefers cooler temperatures and Willow likes the heat, so she stays in the cabin and her bed is right by the flat panel heater. It is toasty warm in there. Shasta has to be by an open window when she is indoors. She has learned how to operate the small slide window on the shed door.

Shasta is so funny. I need to take a video of her. Whenever I am working in the yard, the dogs are free to roam among the chickens. The other days I had tossed a few apples out for the chickens. My pullets are at the bottom of the pecking order. They have to wait until the hens have had their fill efore the hens allow them to eat, so the hang out in some nearby bushes. Shasta chased the hens off and carried the apples to the pullets! CL's Ameracaunas would have nothing to do with the slobbery apples, but the EE's dug in, while Shasta stood guard and chased the hens off!

Oh I wouldnt actually get rid of him... I have a bigger resposibility to this bird than a normal pet. At least thats how I feel, as I breed and hand raised this bird 6 years ago. He's my last tiel baby... But the constant screaming on a morning that is ot being nice to me... lol Im just fed up is all.

No worries, you didnt hurt my feelings. And I feel the same about pets, once you take them in, they stay. I have never gotten rid of a pet/family member.

BTW I have a very good understanding of the noise. See I have a tiel. I have had several other birds over the years.

Oh I know you have had birds. We've talked about it before. But some times, my buttons are pushed a little to hard. lol So I vent.

Oops, sorry. It IS on Saturday. I'm going to blame CR for getting me confused after he accused CL of being confused. Get it? (Okay, I know I can't rightfully blame anyone else for my confusion. I'm over 50. Just CSR.)

LOL...I blame it cuz I have teenagers and I am old.

I am not confused!!!

She had mentioned sometime in the past couple of weeks that we should be planning for potluck at the show in Chehalis on December 6th. I think a lot of us are going to bring something like we did for Monroe. CL's in pain but she's not that confused.

6th of dec? that is a Tuesday? I can participate if it is on Saturday.

Y'all are confused!!
The Winter Brisk is in Chehalis, Dec 3 & 4th.......................remember?????????????
I am steaming prawns, like I did at the Monroe Show.
I am also going to try to get a green salad together like I did at the Monroe Show.
It would be nice if a few brought diced fruit salad, chucks of melon, pear, etc.
Last show, Blue Duckligs brought curry..maybe just steamed or fried rice would be good?
Easy stuff you do not have to heat is what I am going for.
Crackers, (Gluten free marked, and otherwise) and cold cuts would be great also.
Those of you who can have breads can bring rolls.
Someone else brought paper plates & napkins.
So let's get it together???
Last time I got chewed out by CR for not telling him about "the" potluck.
So I am telling now.
I will bring my table, and we can pot luck on it.
So back to my Q:::
Who likes fresh oysters????????????
I CAN smoke them..maybe do fresh & smoked?
Or just smoked????????????
Heck, I get the smoker going, I can toss some red salmon on it too....

I suggest everyone think LOCAL
And bring what you have, or if not, buy some fresh fruit & such & make a cut up salad.
For example, Stumpfarmer could bring half LGB & Half GP meatballs..............YUM, I am cooking some right now!!

All that sounds yummy.
Okay, hmmmm local. Orchard country. Hmmmmmm, let me think what I can best bring. I would eat a couple oysters (not raw)...but they are so rich that is about all I can do...just a couple.
