I'm pleased with my purchases from them. I noticed that almost eerything they have on their website is at the Maple Valley location, North Bend has a big selection as well. I wish I had known about all the interior and exterior wood doors when we built out house, we could have saved a bundle! Maybe I ought to submit photos of my chicken palace (from before the interior got dirtied with chicken poop). It is nicer looking than the nice shed they have posted.
I got only 4 eggs today. 6 yesterday. Now that tax season has started, and I am working again, I have a lot of co-workers asking for eggs. I don't know why so many of my birds have never given me an egg. They can't have a hidden nest - with the terrible weather we have had, and a predator on the loose, I have been hesitant to let them out of the run when I am not around.
On Tuesday morning, while my hens were out for an hour before I had to go to work, a hawk (I assume) killed and shredded a rabbit on my lawn just on the other side of my wire fence, not 10 feet from my free-ranging chickens! That bunny was only a little smaller than my hens. I did not see it happen, but after I waited at the bus-stop with DD at 8:30, I went and fed all the animals, changed their water, etc. It took me half an hour. I walked through that gate and their were no scattered bunny parts. I took 20 minutes or so to get ready, and I heard the chickens making quite a commotion. 2 of my roosters were looking toward the gate and making some really odd sounding alarm calls which sent the hens running from the vegetable garden and ducking under bushes. I looked out the window (I can't see the gate, but can see 10 feet in front of it) and did not see anything. The roosters continued their calling, so I walked out the door and found shredded bunny just in front of the gate! When I went into the yard, all my birds, even the roos flocked tightly around me so I led them into their covered run and closed the door. For now they are only being let out while I am out with them or in my office where I can see everyone.
