Oops! I guess I meant I don't know if she has a way to get them, if she has to rent a truck or delivery people, etc. Anyway, I hope T Hi uses up her quota of crazy happenings soon.
You're a good friend!We took her the last W&D![]()
I am talking with T right now to see what is up with the washer, maybe DH can fix it.
SNAP!!! Yikes, guilty as charged! Michigander here. Michigoose, maybe more correctly. Mostly I spend my time on the Michigan thread. Hey, we're number two. And proud of it! (Meaning we are the second most active state thread). (I don't think I need to mention who is the undisputed champ of the state threads.)![]()
So, being a minor member of the #2 thread, and spending way too much time keeping up with the super-chatty Michigan folks, of course I began to wonder about a thread that is more than twice as busy as MI. Because really I get a little sad when I've read all 70 or so new pages in an evening and there's nothing to do but drag myself to bed.So clearly the Washingtonians must also have a great bunch of people as you must be as crazy about your group of people as we are about ours.![]()
And there's a sentimental reason too. I am a transplanted Washingtonian myself. Grew up in beautiful Buckley, came to Michigan in 1981 to go to college, ended up marrying a Michigan guy, and here I am still. Growing up in Buckley at least did prepare me for the lack of sunshine here in Michigan... Though not so much for the flatness. Or the bitter cold. Although your winter has been much worse than ours so far, for maybe the first time in my memory. But we have gotten down to single digits even this year.
So, any of you who find yourselves with extra time on your hands because you're out of posts here... consider yourselves totally invited over to the Michigan thread. Only a few of us bite. And we're always super sorry right afterwards.![]()
Incidently, the puter seems to be posting OK right now...weird.
Seems later (evening) it is difficult for me to get page to page, and by dinner time I cannot get in for PMs at all, or when I do, cannot pull them up or get kicked off to some other page ????????
ok, then this is what is happening. You def do NOT have enough ram; HOWEVER, since there are certain times of day when it's worse, and other times when it's better, it is almost certainly a connectivity problem. When there is a heavy load on the connection, it will slow down. Peak periods, sort of like when there is a heavy load on the electric, like in California during hot weather, you get rolling blackouts.
Same same here - WE have cable modem, and although I don't have a really fast computer, I have had no issues with the new BYC. I don't know if you have dial-up, DSL or what but this could be a contributing factor. So don't go overboard on the motherboard and ram until you know for certain. You could end up with the same problem as you have now, and have spent money to get it fixed.
