Oops! I guess I meant I don't know if she has a way to get them, if she has to rent a truck or delivery people, etc. Anyway, I hope T Hi uses up her quota of crazy happenings soon.

We took her the last W&D

We maybe can go fix the issues she has with the Washer although she is not complaining to me about it even when I asked her...I think she does not want to be a burden & ask us for help again...I'll keep after her.
DH says the old man who owns the place next door has said he is coming back to get the W & D there...so far no sign of him.
Theives will get them for sure at this rate.

After I hit "submit" and answers teresa about sending the e-mails...it took 70 seconds and I hit the refresh, then it took 9 seconds, to have this page pop up !
Sorry I am complaining so much !
But you can see the frustration.

There is so many BYCers asking questions & new folks coming on & I cannot respond to all as it takes so long & sometimes the puter just crashes.
Later peeps !!

Seems it aggitates but not spins so that is a classic sign the timer is broken.
Sometimes it is as simple as a wire falling off (loose screw) or it may be goners...but it is the timer.
When DH gets back from the dump I will have him talk to T & see what we can do to help her

SNAP!!! Yikes, guilty as charged! Michigander here. Michigoose, maybe more correctly. Mostly I spend my time on the Michigan thread. Hey, we're number two. And proud of it! (Meaning we are the second most active state thread). (I don't think I need to mention who is the undisputed champ of the state threads.

So, being a minor member of the #2 thread, and spending way too much time keeping up with the super-chatty Michigan folks, of course I began to wonder about a thread that is more than twice as busy as MI. Because really I get a little sad when I've read all 70 or so new pages in an evening and there's nothing to do but drag myself to bed.

So clearly the Washingtonians must also have a great bunch of people as you must be as crazy about your group of people as we are about ours.
And there's a sentimental reason too. I am a transplanted Washingtonian myself. Grew up in beautiful Buckley, came to Michigan in 1981 to go to college, ended up marrying a Michigan guy, and here I am still. Growing up in Buckley at least did prepare me for the lack of sunshine here in Michigan... Though not so much for the flatness. Or the bitter cold. Although your winter has been much worse than ours so far, for maybe the first time in my memory. But we have gotten down to single digits even this year.
So, any of you who find yourselves with extra time on your hands because you're out of posts here... consider yourselves totally invited over to the Michigan thread. Only a few of us bite. And we're always super sorry right afterwards.

Welcome Honorary Washintonian....AKA: Yorkchick. You can chat away with all of these wondeful people. Hope you are warm. Kinda cold her in Omak.

Teresa can you read that e-mail ?
Kinda went sideways on 1 scan....a really good article for newbies, easy to understand.

Ok got the Toni washer issue going Ok, it is the timer (going through the process of elimination)
DH said for her to get the make/model & call an appliance/repair place & order a new one and we will get up there to install it.
Need a good road trip every now ...and will stop to see TotalColour as well.
Then next trip is Seattle to RainWolf's & will see FlyRobinFly & Zgoatlady there.
**Sigh!**

OK now DH is going to get me a much needed trailer load of road base rock & I get to shovel it around in mud holes when he gets back...burn off a little fat LOL!

Anyone going to the Puy Sportsman Show ?
I really wann go ?
Clover going ?

OK forgot that yesterday a guy stopped in to see if we were maybe interested in buying any chickens...his wife is ill...and has too many.
They live in Humptulips (a fer drive) and he said "she has over 80 ha ha !
And eggs of every color, brown, white, green, blue, red" Ha ha
he was a very friendly & happy logger boss.
He works out this way, and stay here all week but can bring any birds to me & YOU guys can come get them here.
His wife has listed the sale on both the Olympia & Penninsula Craigs List.
Cheeck it out.
I have his phone # so I can give it to you & call him to bring what birds you want here...OK ?
I have not been on CL to check it out.
He had no idea what breeds she has or if they are hatchery or not.

Ok....I think I have remembered every thing now...if not, I'll be back.
This time of day the puter is only 3/4 slow....by 5 PM it will almost be locked up.
I am planning on writing down exact times this locking up happens so I can tell Comcast.

Get this....Comcast Ixfinety sent me an e-mail yesterday that for a limited time, for just $10 extra, they can give me SUPER high speed internet !
Like what, is mine dialed down?Ho
w do they speed it up or slow it down ?If ya got a
signal, ya got a signal !!!
somad.gif

We already have "high speed internet" !!!!!!!

Incidently, the puter seems to be posting OK right now...weird.
Seems later (evening) it is difficult for me to get page to page, and by dinner time I cannot get in for PMs at all, or when I do, cannot pull them up or get kicked off to some other page ????????

ok, then this is what is happening. You def do NOT have enough ram; HOWEVER, since there are certain times of day when it's worse, and other times when it's better, it is almost certainly a connectivity problem. When there is a heavy load on the connection, it will slow down. Peak periods, sort of like when there is a heavy load on the electric, like in California during hot weather, you get rolling blackouts.

Same same here - WE have cable modem, and although I don't have a really fast computer, I have had no issues with the new BYC.  I don't know if you have dial-up, DSL or what but this could be a contributing factor. So don't go overboard on the motherboard and ram until you know for certain. You could end up with the same problem as you have now, and have spent money to get it fixed.

I've been quiet in this discussion as I am Mac based (my husband is a sysop/ CTS in a Windows/Winserve environment and he prefers not to fight the same problems at home) but I will add my voice to the "make sure it's not upstream of you" suggestion. As remote as Raymond is there may be a bottleneck in either the cable or phone system- especially if they've had to patch around a switch vault that's been flooded or had the power knocked out. We were without cable for twelve hours and then had just had it restored just before we lost the lights due to a utility vault getting taken out by somebody sliding off the road. Again.

Of course my fun-and-games systemic problems resulting from the storm are mostly internal-to-my-body: I forgot to take my nightime Lantus last night and still had a 113mg/dl fasting and a 80mg/dl before lunch. Glad I'm not home alone today!
