Here are a couple of pics of my younger birds....

I think the one in the front left is the one I mentioned earlier with the "bustle" looking rear end. It's a little hard to tell in these pics though. No one answered me on that...is that type of feathering unusual? Would it be against some standard for someone who was trying to breed Orpingtons? I'm inclined to keep her anyway, just because she's less flighty than the other birds. I was just curious.

Cute! everyone looks like they are having a great time!!

To all of you who go to the Scottish games/events please check out the couple that has the white trailer that sells the Meat Pies.
They're Larry and Fran and are my friends. Stop and say hello and tellum that Mikeyb sent you.
They are very good people and helped me through a very tough time in my life. The best thing is, they don't even know how much they helped me.

Man when I was 16 that's all I wanted to do is drive truck!! I have driven some in the Navy, not the semi's but pretty close! I love to drive and the longer the trip the better!
I want to be in the passenger seat then I can see the country. lol... unless it involves being in a log truck then I got to see out the window down a cliff and hope that the wheels didn't go over the edge with me in the truck. SCARY!!!!

I pounded the hyways for 23 years. The last 16 I took the newbies out on the road and trained them (tried to at least) in the finer points of truckin'. It was amazing to me that all you have to do is pick up the load on time and deliver it on time and you are a hero to the shipper and receiver. It really is that simple. Unfortunately if you can't self-start, and can't manage your time/schedule you will fail and fail again.
Every new driver I trained believed they could avg 60 mph or better. They found out quite rudely, I may add, that to avg 54 mph you had to bust your butt and your concentration had to be 100% on the job at hand.
I concentrated on safety and gave them the tools they needed to succeed. Few did.
It's a very tough life, but it was a lot of fun while it lasted. I was retired 6 years the 4th of May. Enjoying every **** minute of it.

Sorry I didn't even know there were Californians when I was in elementary school in the 70's??? believe me I don't bash anything just to bash it!! I didn't meet any till the 80's, but, then I met lots of people from a lot of places, while in the Navy.
And I probably shouldn't bring this up, but in school I thought pollacks (the rude term people used to use for folks of Polish ancestry--don't know how to spell it) were those fuzzy, yellow critters in the Dr. Seuss books. Just never, ever occurred to me.
