Quote: Well, I certainly tried to show you the error of your ways. Never put off fishing to tomorrow, it may be stormy, work will wait. Haven't you ever heard this wise homily b4?

Haha, just played UNO with my son. He told me to go first for our last game and I happened to have been dealt THE perfect hand. I got a bunch of 'skip' and 'reverse' cards and when you play with 2 players those both skip the other person; he never got to play, I just skipped him like 5 times, made him draw 2, and played my last card!

He was giggling like crazy that I was SO good at the game!

Cute!

Very cute. He will have fun with that play house. It will be good for him, too. Some kids love small spaces. We used to put up a play tent on our oldest child's bed when he was in preschool. He would go there and curl up on a big pillow when something disturbed him (usually noise - flushing toilets, vacuums, etc.).

You will be amazed at your son's progress at school. Both our boys went through 2 years of ECE (special ed) preschool, and my youngest also went through an all-day autism kindergarten class. It was amazing to see how much they changed and grew.

As for the clothes issue... sigh... I wish I knew how to deal with that one. My youngest (now 8) still puts his shirts and pants on backwards nearly every day (but, we're thankful he can finally dress himself) and my oldest (10) still can't stand to have socks or shoes on and we seem to be always missing both of those. Last year, a kid in his class stole his orthotics out of his shoes ($200/each) and took them home after my son took them off during class. His IEP allows him to take them off to help him focus and concentrate (a therapist recommendation), so the school was very diligent about finding who stole the orthotics. Thankfully, we got them back. It was frustrating - it was a boy we have seen be mean to our son on more than one occasion. I'm not sure what to do about it.

Poor kid. I guess we are supposed to try to remember that the bully likely has something happening to him, or some sort of insecurity. It's hard to kill 'em with kindness when it's your kids.

He kept his clothes on again!

My chickens must have known I was getting frustrated. Right after I moaned and whined yesterday that they weren't laying more than 0, 1, or 2 eggs, suddenly I ended up with 3 yesterday and 3 more so far today! LOL

I'm a little worried. I figured the first to lay would be Martha, not Laya, Martha is MUCH bigger, with a MUCH redder and more defined (eg. BIGGER) comb, and her legs are twice the thickness of Laya's. Could this be a roo? Gosh I really freaking hope not, that would KILL me! She's always been my favorite, since day 1.

I'm by no means an expert on roosters, but I don't think Martha is a rooster. Still, don't quote me on that one!

show us hackle and saddle feathers - and the tail. If using a digital camera, check out the "tulip" icon - that often helps focus when taking close ups.

That comb is suspect.
