Water per chicken per day?

My roo isn't drinking enough water. How much should he drink per day?

I've read that chickens drink about 2 to 3 pounds of water for every 1 pound of feed that they eat. Which seems about right.

Standard breed chickens drink 1 to 2 cups of water each day.
