I have a large brinsea and I put the tube into A coke bottle filled with water, due to the type of pump, you don’t even need to empty the air out of the tube first. Did yours have a small tube piece that you had to wrap around a spindle? If so, that spindle uses alternating pressure to form a sort of suction.

Hello and welcome! With the Mini II EX you will want to connect the tubing following the diagram and then simply put one end of the tubing into a water reservoir. You can use a water bottle or something like that and set it beside the incubator (not on top). If you have any further questions feel free to call our office (888) 667-7009
