Lmbo, I think embdens are the sweetest geese ever. I just discovered today my geese get very upset when you hold the kids down on the ground and tickle them. I had both geese in my face honking at me to leave their babies alone. The embden is also overly concerned they will hurt themselves playing, and supervises closely.
They are adorable pics. I really think my Embden gander would be protective of lil children after watching how tender he was towards the ducklings this past summer.
Lucksy right foot has issues still. Gonna start water/swim therapy 2x a day. That should cheer her up, if nothing else. LOl She is really about the same for days now. Waiting for a sprain, starin, or something of that nature (torn ligament? tendon issues?) She was a fat duck, now she's a rather skinny duck for a jumbo.
Baby isn't walking, but did stand very briefly this morning. Let me say that when she "cruising" she walk what would be the equivalent of a human doing the duck walk, she uses her legs and scoots on her underside. LOL Precurser to walking, I guess you might say its the goose crawl.
OK, here is lucky and baby. Baby drug herself in, and in this pick, I thought she was dragging herself out, but she just stopped and stayed that way for a minute. Lucky likes the deeper pool, and dirtied it up right away (with babies help first). Lucky leans to the right, even in the water. No niacin yet, but we're gonna drive out to walgreens later. Baby, a minute after this goose crawled over to the fence (about 15 feet) and talked to the other geese. After I put them in the barn, the other geese stayed right by the pen, watching the barn. I think they think Baby is my prisoner. Tomarrow, I'm going to put baby and lucky out in a pen next to the others, just to see if they like a day outside. Its supposed to be lovely weather, and I think next to the others, but not really with them yet (since neither can escape disgruntled geese or turkeys) is the best plan.

They look happy. It's amazing how social these guys are. After I moved the first batch of ducklings outside I couldn't figure out why the geese were acting so weird until I finally noticed their attention on the babies house. Them being by the house and not the coop upsets them, lol, they want them with the dlock.
I try to remember to use spell check... and never really notice when someone else boo boos. Glad Baby girl is doing better and have to agree with Mrs Lydia that Lucky probably ran more then she was ever meant too.
Our Embdens are ALL bluff, but then step outta line and "Mommy" will pick your butt up
