I handed her the Murrey McMurrey hatchery catalogue. She must be my daughter, she's much happier now. I know looking at it always cheers me up.

I'm hoping this will help, if she finds a pic, I can (ahem) ebay or BYC some eggs.....

She's good to her birds, and does her chores to help the family flock dutifuly. She desearves a replacement bird.

She says she wants a swan.

She just came in and asked if she should the the black or mute white. Oh geez. I think we're fast approaching hatching rule number 5.

Mutes dont get along with any other waterfowl. Blacks are ok, but will claim a pond and not want to share. She sure has good taste, both are stunning and $$$$$

Yeah, no kidding. Our zoo has black swans, and I know somebody whos selling juveniles. I don't know though, seems like an expensive gamble. I'll give her a few days to think this over.

very expensive, make sure they are pinioned or flying away is a real issue. oh and check state laws, some require permits for the oddest birds recently
