Watery eyes....

How is your roo? Is he better?

His other eye got infected and he didnt seem himself didnt want to get out from the coop and wasnt eating or drinking :-( was able to walk fine... but because both eyes where Infected I dont think he could see where or what he was doing... he didnt seem stable... his in the care of my friend atm as she has much more experience than me... she's hand feeding him atm and giving him as much TLC as she can .... that's all I can do atm if he gets worse ino what I have to do :-( I dont have the heart to do that... but my friend will if she has too and no progress is made :-(
It's sad but I guess it's one of those even if he survives he will alwys be a carrier... wich will pass on to all my other chickens isnt it? :-( I can only pray and hope for the best and take care of him as best I can 😞🤞🙏

By infected you mean foamy? Or you are sure that he got infection in his eyes? Hope your friend will make him better. "if he gets worse ino what I have to do :-(" you mean culling? You could keep him isolated from other chickens (pretty far) and maybe make him small run, and take a big care of him (cleaning eyes, etc) like I did with my old, sick hen which other were pecking. But that can be risky if he's a carrier ( but better than keeping him isolated near other chickens). If I were you, I'd probably make a small run pretty far away (if he's a carrier, if he's not, it wouldn't have to be far away from chickens i think) from other chickens, clean his eyes, feed him etc. I would only cull him if he was seriously suffering (probably my grandpa would have done that, as i have no heart to do that too. He had to put down our young (1,5 year old) roo after fox attack, cuz he had part of his neck and "shoulder" bitten off and couldn't even walk). Lets hope for the best - chicken making recovery.
:hugs

Yes no definitely I would only cull if he was in serious pain and not recovering....
But defo will be giving him extra attention and care x

Try searching some chicken vets in your area that arent that expensive maybe. Gotta pray for your roo too

If by getting bad you mean getting foamy (if no, what do you mean by bad?)- maybe this'll calm you a bit - usually in respiratory diseases both ayes are foamy.

I'm glad that your friend is helping you. I hope if they have chickens of their own, they are taking bio-security measures so they don't spread whatever your cockerel has to their own flock.

Even if housed separately - respiratory illnesses can be easily spread on clothes/shoes, by shared equipment, dust/dander, etc.

I'm sorry you are facing this. Sadly, many people do experience dealing with disease in their flocks. Sometimes culling a sick bird is needed in order to help slow the spread of disease to other chickens in the flock.
