Wattle genetics?

I'm hoping to breed the wattle gene (if there is one) out my chickens. That is why I'm hoping to get info on wattle genes.

Ever thought about learning how to dub your birds, it's fairly simple. What type of breed are you starting with?

I agree enola, are you going for eggs or meat ? Most likely there already is a type out there for you

I couldn't dub.

I am starting a line breeding project wih brabanters. My gold hens have wattles. I can't seem to find what the genes are that govern the lack of the presence of wattles. I know its connected to the beard gene but that's all the info I have.
