We have eggs hatching in the incubator as well as under the hen. Do we put them together?

We had a broody hen and found the best way to break her was to let her hatch some of the eggs we had in our incubator. Now we’ve come across a new problem! Do I remove the chick she hatched from under her and put in my brooder with my other chick that hatched from the incubator? Do I put the incubator chick with the chick under the hen? Or do I just keep them where they currently are? I’m just worried since it’s her first time and I read in one of these articles that she could crush the newborn chick. Me and the husband are divided on this so I’m looking for opinions from anyone who had hatched chicks before! Thanks in advance!!

Don't take the chick away from the mom!! If she only hatched one or two you can try giving her some of the chicks from the incubator. I have a silkie who I wanted to sell most of her babes so it just happened perfectly to get some chicks from tractor supply when she was due to hatch. She hatched 4 and i stuck the store chicks under her and then on day 2 sold 3 of her chicks. Now she has 15 or so chicks she is happily caring for and it has been so nice for her to care for them instead of having them in a brooder! I slipped half the chicks under her at night and the other half in the middle of the day, she didnt even think about not accepting them.

Thank you! We’ve put the incubator chick with her now too. All was fine at first and then she pecked both her chick and the incubator chick, so I’m a little worried about that. Unless that’s normal, we’re like new parents! Haven’t been through this before and scared we’re doing it all wrong lol! We gave her a larger area in her chicken coop so this way her and the chicks have a little privacy but still are with the flock. We have another egg under her hatching as we speak! We’re going to check her again in 20 minutes to see if she’s ok with the new arrangements.

Cute! Just pull up a chair and watch her closely. I did read that sometimes it doesn't work. So you should watch for a bit to make sure.
My hen pecked the babies twice when she thought i was hasseling too much (after i changed water and food) but i think she was trying to get them under her faster as they are very disobedient! When She calls and settles down, About half go running and get under and about half leisurely wander to her. Im pretty sure the ones i added later are the disobedient ones
