We did everything we could, but we lost her last night. I am soooo sad I can't even describe it. She was my absolute favorite.
I'm going to miss her following me around the yard, begging while I'm BBQ-ing, jumping up on my lap to have a piece of whatever I have on my plate... the way she gobbled down tomatoes like she hadn't eaten in days, her woddel-ing walk, her "gawwww gawww gaaaaawwwww!!!" that would wake the dead every morning, her soft fluffy feathers, calling "Chicken Haaaawwwwk!" and watching her run, flap and duck her head (because, you know, ducking your head makes you run faster) to run at me because she knew I had a treat, her big brown eggs....
I'm really going to miss all of that.
I'm looking outside at my flock and it's just not the same without her.
