The Lone Chicken

After an unfortunate accident, I lost all but 1 of my chickens. The lone survivor only made it because she's been picked on relentlessly and spent a majority of her time in the coop. From being picked on, she's not the nicest chicken and I fear she won't get along with any new chickens. I spoil her rotten now, but I don't want to keep her solo if it's going to affect her.
I spoil her rotten and I let her free range whenever I'm outside. She seems happy and she's finally leaving the coop and hanging out in the run now that she knows she's safe.
I guess my ultimate question is, CAN chickens live alone? I don't know if I can get more after the trauma of losing her 3 sisters.

Chickens are flock animals and generally do best with companions. It really sounds as if this hen might be better off alone.
