Here's my comment on today's article. I thought it was important to acknowledge that the paper did respond quickly to yesterday's feedback.
Thank you for presenting the other side of this story. It's sad that Kerr has apparently not bothered to educate himself on the issue in the least, and is still parroting the incredibly stupid line about the animals "winding up in the school."
Mr. Kerr feels that "kids" are inherently up to no good (How many of you can imagine, as children, climbing a fence and breaking into an enclosed porch in order to steal a caged pet and release it at school?) and cannot be trusted, and additionally that all of us are completely at their mercy. I wonder how Kerr is going to "save" the citizens of Titusville from all other possible mischief--judging from this one warped scenario he's manufactured (of "kids being kids" and breaking into Farley's home and stealing her pets and then inexplicably taking them to school), in his world-view, he must live in constant fear of anyone under the age of 20.
How sad that this is the mindset of someone representing the children and parents of Titusville. You all deserve a refund on that count.
