I just posted the following, and I used my own browser, not from this link to the board....
I was just made aware of this article, and after reading it I am amazed to think that there are places in this country where such ignorance is allowed to run rampant, especially ignorance by school and township officials.
I'm wondering how much advance publicity there was regarding the public meeting on Sept 16 that Farley did not attend. It's my impression of township law, that a meeting must be clearly advertised, well in advance, or it would be considered an illegal meeting and no action can be taken or decisions made. If Farley was not made aware that there would be a meeting, then your deecision that she cannot have these pets can't stand, and a new meeting must be set, advertised and held. ALL interested parties must be allowed to attend and be heard in this matter. It sounds as if Terry Kerr and Mary Aukerman are on some sort of witch hunt and have both too much time on their hands, and too much authority in your community.
A chicken and A rabbit pose no danger to the school children of Titusville. They are not going to leap over a fence and attack them on their way to school the way a Pit Bull or Rottweiller might. (Yes, I may be opening a new can of worms here) Nor will they suddenly spawn some new and fatal outbreak of disease and pestilence. Come on Titusville, don't you all feel a little foolish here?
