I just posted the following, and I used my own browser, not from this link to the board....

I was just made aware of this article, and after reading it I am amazed to think that there are places in this country where such ignorance is allowed to run rampant, especially ignorance by school and township officials.
I'm wondering how much advance publicity there was regarding the public meeting on Sept 16 that Farley did not attend. It's my impression of township law, that a meeting must be clearly advertised, well in advance, or it would be considered an illegal meeting and no action can be taken or decisions made. If Farley was not made aware that there would be a meeting, then your deecision that she cannot have these pets can't stand, and a new meeting must be set, advertised and held. ALL interested parties must be allowed to attend and be heard in this matter. It sounds as if Terry Kerr and Mary Aukerman are on some sort of witch hunt and have both too much time on their hands, and too much authority in your community.
A chicken and A rabbit pose no danger to the school children of Titusville. They are not going to leap over a fence and attack them on their way to school the way a Pit Bull or Rottweiller might. (Yes, I may be opening a new can of worms here) Nor will they suddenly spawn some new and fatal outbreak of disease and pestilence. Come on Titusville, don't you all feel a little foolish here?

Holy moly! That's the most crazy and absurd thing I've ever heard of! I left my "nice" comments about it too.

I just spoke with the reporter that published that article.....she took Pictures of my daughter and her bunny and is running another article in tomorrow's paper telling our side!

Again and again I will thank you all. The more comments this story and the one tomorrow get the better. Let them know that the world is watching them take a pet away from a child.

BTW other than not having the permit I was within the ordinance. The ordinance states that rabbits and chickens are permitted as long as they are at least 15 feet from the property line, kept in secure enclosures, waste removed and no more than three per property. So when I try to be a good pet owner and get the permit I was denied.

WAIT WAIT!! Did I read correctly?? they came in your home and INSPECTED IT???

THAT is a violation of your privacy! that is UNCONSTITUTIONAL! You have the right to privacy!!

I hope the article she runs tomorrow helps you get your permit!!

ppppppppffffffffffffffffffffffhhhhhhhhhhhhhtttttttttttttt on them!!

you know, I really believe that QA has something there. The last I knew, the only person who would have the right to enter your home would be a policeman with a warrant for something specific. They fool you by asking for your permission to enter, and then after you allow them in you have no basis for complaint. But it still isn't right! They have a kangaroo court type of local township govt going on there, and you need to make sure that you make all this public so someone can put a stop to it. The idea that someone else had about a local tv station looking into it was a good one. I hope the reporter that comes to see you is a responsible journalist, but for some reason I have some doubts and fears about that.
