We made the front page....and I need help

Maybe they are seeing how foolish the article looks by getting comments

And I kind of think they should, at least a little. I mean, Mr. Kerr's incredibly stupid statements are not the responsibility of the paper, but when they print something like that without even an attempt to verify the accuracy of those opinions, or at the VERY least to present a dissenting opinion, they come off as not being objective.

I had chickens when I was a kid and I have to say that the rodents and dogs we have now are FAR dirtier than one chicken and one rabbit could ever hope to be!
I hope you win your appeal, good luck.

"he sees difficulties with children going to and from school."
I don't get this part. By having a chicken and a rabbit kids somehow have a harder time going to and from school. How does that happen?
The part about them being on the porch could lead to them getting in the school is ridiculous. Do they regularly have peoples pets showing up in their school?

The way I am taking the papers comment about the rabbit(s)and chicken(s) is that they are going to make it more difficult for children to go to school....BUT now if there is a rabid dog or wild animal the children will still be safe. I guess according to the paper we should all be aware of caged animals and be prepared for the worse. But someones dog, cat, wild animal is going to be safer....
Again, just my opinion on the whole thing...I think the paper needs to take a look at how stupid they are sounding...It wouldn't even have to be a long look...

Rabbits can be into house pets, as well as chickens. Rabbits can be litter box trained. Does that mean that a litter box trained cat is going to need a permit next...
Again just my opinion....

Oh yeah....the rabbit is housetrained......when he is out of his cage he will go back into the cage to potty. Also I was planning on getting diapers for the bird.
