We Quit Cigarettes

My doctor is the one that stopped the Meds. So, I figured do the drinking at the same time. Having second thoughts about that now.
Whatever you do, when you quit drinking, do it for good. The withdrawal from alcohol is super hard on your brain--my middle brother quit so many times. 😢 Toward the end it was as if he was suffering from dementia. Apparently that's a real thing--the brain damage. I never knew. Alcohol finally killed him. So sad. If the person doesn't fight for themselves, there's nothing anyone else can do to help, however much they may long to.

Please don't give up, Webby. We're all pulling for you. Grab hold of life. When this is over (and it will be) you will tell everyone how hard, but how worth it this whole thing was. You'll be free. You and you alone can do this. We're all watching and praying and longing for you to make it.

I can do it he squats......zero desire to do pull ups, push ups, planks, pilates,

The bad shoulders just say no.

Walking yes, jogging.....um NO.

Today will be weeding what I can pull by hand from the newly thawed flower beds and walking.
You talk my language!

One day I'll try them.
Not today.
Rent the movies....
You mean the one on my book shelf that I didn't even know I had.

One day.
Love the Tolkien Trilogy...my mom introduced her children to them...many many years ago. Haven't read the "Brothers".

I'm sorry about your brother. I lost mine to it too. He never tried to quit though, he loved it. He was always so much fun, we were very close. He was five years older than me. I've already out lived him, hell I've out lived everyone in my family except my son. He just turned 40!

@WVduckchick Are you feeling magical yet?

Nope, nope, nope! Bad day today. :(
Roller coaster of crying, laughing, sleeping, getting mad, dizziness, tingling all over, etc etc.
But today was Day 4 of Chantix, first 2-dose day, and I don’t think I’m having any issues from it. I actually did smoke less today. All this other stuff is from the Effexor withdrawal.

:fl @WVduckchick, when you feel up to it please give us an update as to how you are doing. Thinking about you and continuing to keep you in my prayers.
It doesn't need to be a long post and we don't mind if it is a snarky reply. 😻

I’m hanging in there. If I had known that Effexor would have such a horrible withdrawl, I would never have taken it to begin with. But I’ll get thru it. I cannot imagine how drug addicts relapse. I never want to do this again!

I don't think I have mentioned this yet, but @Kiki inspired me to start wearing a fitbit. Doing this inspired DH to wear one too, and now that we wear them, we are noticeably less lazy. For example, when we go shopping, neither of us feel the need to park close to the store, instead, we like to find a spot far away from the store.

Kathy this is the best thing I read all day!! You rock! :love
