We Quit Cigarettes

We are going into lockdown in the morning. I'm worried. I need chicken feed and cigarettes, coffee and stuff. The taxi usually takes me shopping. They are closed. Now what? I guess I guess I'll be forced to quit smoking too! Against my will‼😡😡😡😰
What about Uber or Lyft? You can't be the only person who needs a ride. Do you have stores that will deliver your food? We do!

I'm logging off too. Love to you all. I'll check in tomorrow to let you know if I'm staying or going, if he's stayin or goin? I pray that we are both stayin. Please pray for us and our marriage ? 😘 Good night all.
Prayers for what God thinks is best for Meme. It might not look like what you want at first, just know it is what is best for you in the long run. :hugs :frow

Well there is a little more to us than bars and restaurants.............
Like Churches, schools, the largest inner city park in the US (Yes larger than Central Park (look it up)), a zoo, should I go on.
That's not to say we wont take a big financial hit, But then we have gotten through those before  :hugs

Please do. The limited research I did came up with

Zoo - 1
City park -1
Schools - 86
Churches- 179

Restaurants - 1,400 +

All of you guys inspire me with the way you support each other, after a normal 3-month checkup at the doctor, I was told my A1c was a little higher than she would like to see it and my cholesterol was on the border of what is considered to be high. I made some changes in my diet to limit fried foods and no snacking at all. I have lost about 15 pounds since January and 2 inches from my waist. I know now how I can conquer some things that I tried to ignore and stay around a little longer for my kid's kids. My first grand is about 18 months old now and he loves my chicken addiction. When he gets to stay with us, he wants to see them when I get home from work. Even if I am tired, I find the energy to go out there with him because of the excitement and look on his face. I honestly feel better as far as my health goes and I can't wait to go to my next check up to see if I have made any progress. They called yesterday and had to move the appointment out a couple of weeks because of this covid-19 #h*it and instead of being upset, I decided it was an excuse for me to make even more progress. I picked up the dumbbells and started back lifting weights again. BDutch, thank you for your inspiration. Thank all of you for being such a close knit support to each other. In times like these a support net can mean the difference between success and life being twice as hard as it already is. I hope to be posting with you guys for a long time. Kiki and others, you can make it and it sounds like the encouragement you receive comes from the heart. Thank all of you..

I think the important term here is "limited research" I could go on for pages listing Art Museums, The WWII Museum, among others, famous buildings that housed the first Pharmacist in the US, an aquarium, paddle wheelers (river boats), the oldest girls school in continuous operation in the US ( since 1727) the international shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor., 300 year old buildings, some you can actually cook a meal in.
However it's not worth getting into a pissing match on a thread where we are supposed to be supporting each other.
I'd rather go back to doing that.

@Ted_Harrell Congrats on the hard work, the progress you have made and I love how you made lemonade out of lemons with the appointment set back. Keep us posted, we really want to know how you and your grandson are doing. My granddaughter loves the chickens as well. They eat out of her hand and let her pet them. :lau :lau

We're going to have a long conversation in the morning. If he does'nt agree to my terms, he's gone. Or I am. I will not let all the suffering I've done for the past month be for nothing‼😡😡😡😈😈😈

That's proper thinking.

I'm really mad at him for doing this to me. But, I have to respect him, and his way of life. It's been our way of life for years. I'm pretty sure I can handle it. I poured that shit out last week! I'm the strongest person I personally know!

I've known many on the road to recovery with addiction. It is a battle even with maximum support. You have been doing this primarily on your own. I remain in awe of you. Now to go back and continue catching up. I hope that you are good this morning.
