OH. MY. GOODNESS.
She is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. :love
What breed?
Thank you!!! She is a karakachan!

No way!!!...I'm first in line for that, right @jolenesdad !?
FIRST in line.

@The Farmers' Daughter i spent a long time researching breeds and felt a karakachan would be best for me especially if I could find a breeder that really temperament tests. I requested a dog that would be safe with family dogs and kids first and foremost and I could work on the guardian aspects. If she fails at guardian work, it doesn’t really matter.

I’ve only had her a few days but she is incredible. I’ve never had a more chill puppy. I’m hoping to raise her as a farm/family dog that’s really just out at daytime on the property with us because all of my animals are really secure at night. She is ATTACHED to my toddler and follows him everywhere it’s adorable. She plays a little outside but otherwise she sits back and watches everything.

how old is your karakachan? What do you do with them are they a traditional LGD role at your place?

Will she grow up to look like this?

Yes! She will be a tad darker we think, originally the breeder thought she was brindle however the last week she has been looking like she may be more marbled like that dog there!!!

it’s the first time I’ve ever had nothing to do with picking a dog. I left it entirely up to the breeder based on matching us But I love dogs with little socks. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My guy is 20 months old.
He's outside only (due to allergies and the fact that he doesn't like warm). My only problem with him is wandering. I've got 99 acres, but he wants to go visit other dogs. I really need to find him a buddy, but don't have the $ right now.
For the longest time he thought carrying chickens around in his mouth was the greatest thing. Now he'll chase them but back off when I tell him to. He only barks when he sees a threat. The # of coyotes has drastically reduced. He & one of my goats are finally warming up to each other, but not buddies yet.
Here's him when I got him at 9 weeks.
