We Quit Cigarettes

No. We never fight, I picked one with him. Acted so pissed off! Then told him we need some time apart. He's curious, he came for dinner a couple days ago and told me I looked terrible . He knows somethings going on.

Baby steps at this stage is the best medicine. As I was finally at 9 pages when I read this/

1) did you try to call your Dr. Today about the side effects & the experiences?
2) I'd like to suggest a little meditation break. And by little I'm talking 2-5 minutes max. I can go into details later for longer ones but, for this baby steps, it's all about focusing on your breathing and slowing it down. Then it's best to have your eyes either staring the "1000 yard stare" or eyes closed. If your mind starts chattering and tossing images at you - acknowledge them and then turn back to your breathing focus on listening to your inhail thru the nose - hold it for a few seconds - exhail slowly thru your mouth ....

Wash-rinse-repeat

3) do this a few times as your getting ready to try to get some sleep. Space them out by 5-10 minutes in-between them. If you like keep doing them longer then 2-5 minutes and keep the 5-10 spacing.

Remember this is not something to expect perfection or failure. Neither of them are valid outcomes to pigeonhole your experience with.

I've been practicing this stuff for decades. I'm ADHD, dislexic, a dad of many kids, dogs & chickens..... Puhleeze. I am no where near an expert OR remotely close to "perfect".

The only claim I can admit to is, I've not given up.

Thank you. You are so sweet. I'll try all suggestions keep them coming. I may read it tomorrow . I'm falling asleep now. I don't want to screw it up. I'm just going to hang out and look at it. Maybe I'll wake up here in the morning.
 
The last time I was in TN. My son was watching me outside smoking. When I went in he called my attention to the way I smoke. He said that when I was walking around I just held it it my hand. But when I sat down, I just held it in my mouth. Said he saw me inhale the whole time 4 times. It's going to be the hand to mouth motions for me. I'm going to get a big pack of straws to carry around! You could even chew on it?

Thank you!! I keep trying and keep falling off the wagon. Then getting right back on the wagon. Smoking once or twice a week, can't seem to stop slipping up.

I guess that my overall improvement is enormous but I keep screwing this up for myself. I'm just trying to think about how much healthier I am becoming every day. And how much money I am saving (only about $40/month, but it does help!) I am accomplishing my goals as far as the reasons I wanted to quit.

More than wanting to smoke, I want a god damned beer right now. But if I drink a beer, I'll have some massive smoking cravings and back down the rabbit hole I go. Not going there. Not today.
@Kiki you think @ShannonR could/would like to hear/read what I told ya about the "B vitamins"?
