We Quit Cigarettes

Hello, everyone! Good luck today -- you can get through it!

Not sure why I chose Rapier... it sounded cool, I guess. Scimitar was peckin' everyone yesterday, and for some reason, her name just popped into my head as I was scolding her. Saber, I just liked the sound of.
Shade and Eclipse are there to stay, I think. I like the name Eclipse... haven't seen an eclipse, but the word sounds cool.
Not sure about the bantams. I won't let Kiki name them -- Richard isn't a name that I'd choose for one of my chicks (no offense, Kiki!). Not sure what I'll name them.
Cookware? Food? Anatomy? Diseases? Medical conditions? Plants? Fabrics? I dunno. I'll figure something out, though....
Anyway, best of luck to all you quitters! You can do it!
I'll choose diseases for $100, Alex.
Covid is an obvious first choice.
Ebola - my favorite.
Swine Flu
Bird Flu
Kung Flu
Coronavirus
Lyme disease - if you got a Corona, ya need a Lyme.
Malaria always has a sweet ring.
West Nile
Flesh Eating Bacteria - Fleshy for short.

And the list grows every day. :lau

You forgot China.

Not sure what the breeds are, exactly, except for three ISA Browns and two others whose breed I can't remember right now. We got five regular-sized and five bantams -- the bantams all seem to be the same breed. They're a pale yellow color, with orange feet and a little black or dark brown dot or smear on the tops of their heads... I don't know when I'll be able to post pictures of them, by the way, sorry.
Anyway, the ISA Browns are named Scimitar, Saber, and Rapier. The two black ones are Eclipse and Shade. Not sure about the bantams yet.
All right, bird rant over and done, good luck to all you quitters out there! Keep trying!
You have such great ideas for naming! I tried naming mine at first, but I mostly couldn't tell them apart and couldn't remember the names if I did make the effort to notice the differences between same-breed birdies. :idunno

This is absolutely brilliant. Wit and humor at its finest. You only live once, may as well give the chickens names that are worth it!!

I'm dreading the summertime already.
You'd better get your favorite Mex to prep that generator for you. We have one that's never been out of the box that we bought many years ago after we were out of power for 9 days. Lucky it was cold enough to store perishables in the 4 ft (non-drifted) snow. And had wood heat. And super wet snow to melt for flushing, etc. Now we have one that turns on automatically to run a few outlets, refrigerator, well, etc. It's really nice to have. You should seriously get yours set up for emergency incubating at the least.

Only downside is at dinner time when the family asks what's for dinner? Ebola and potatoes! You may be the only one eating. :lau

Or when you give your mother Lyme Disease. Questions will be asked.

Gonorrhea would have been a great name for an anti-diarrhea medicine. Think about it.

You heard about the 13 dog sled team named after the Disciples getting away right before a big race? The owners running through town asking everyone if they had seen Jesus or the 12 Disciples. Then each other if they had found Jesus. Jesus was the lead dog, of course.

Favorite was Mr. Hussy naming his Golden Retriever Brazen. She was Brazen Hussy. :lau

Yes, yes, I an available for the next 2 weeks for a small fee, of course. Most reasonable, I'm sure you will agree. I'll have my people talk to your people. Let's do this! ;)

On a totally unrelated subject, first pip sighted! Quail popcorn this weekend!
:wee
Malted Milk Ball Batch #2 - have a few!
