We Quit Cigarettes

I don't know why any part of that would offend/bother me or anyone else. 💁
Sorry about your mom. Total suck.

My lungs are probably already screwed anyway. My mom always smoked. Most of My family members did too.
In the house...in the car..
I've always been around 2nd hand smoke.

I Don't think I'm getting a whole lot of 2nd hand nicotine high from the hubby because we smoke outside.
I think it's more boredom when I'm alone and run out of stuff to do.
your right in that your "not getting a whole lot"....the lungs tend to hold onto a lot of stuff and as such, it takes quite a while for all the vapor/odor/particulate matter from being exhailed from the lungs.

case in point reference. When I used to drive OTR ad a driver-trainer I ended up getting Carbon Monoxide poisoning twice. Both times I was on 100% oxygen for over 8 hours. Thats how long it takes to get fully purged of the CO particals in the lungs. Smoke is similar but, not quite as long. IIRC it was more than half that length of time, i think.....

Good morning, everyone! Best of luck to you all today. You can do it!
And here's a hug for anyone who's fallen off of the wagon: :hugs Don't let it get you down -- you can catch up.
Please don't give up. Good luck!
Thank you @Sapphire Sebright !!
Amazingly, I've been clinging to the edge of the wagon for well over a week now, no slip ups. The urge to smoke just isn't that strong anymore and when it is, the craving goes away really fast. My sense of smell is finally getting a lot better, so glad about that!! Was worried I had lost my smell permanently.

My new project, is to kick my (huge) morning coffee habit. Yesterday was a complete failure, today I seem to be surviving on green tea. I hate green tea. It doesn't have enough kick to it to get me through the day.

I remember trying to quit drinking coffee before and I was dragging ass all day, miserable, totally unhappy with tea. I stuck with it for a few weeks and decided it wasn't worth it.

@ShannonR my advice would to cut back on the coffee, but not to quit cold turkey. Dropping one addiction at a time is more than enough. This was one of the things that was drummed into me when I was quitting drinking. :hugs
I recently cut coffee intake by almost half. Some days I drink more, but have really been trying to keep a lid on it.
