Burt loved pigeons a whole bunch. That was one of his first birds!

I want to send a thank you to Deerman, who has held the hand of so many new to the peafowl world. He was gentle in his interactions, patient with explanations no matter how many silly questions I asked. He treated the people around him with respect, asked for smiles and always seemed ready to joke and tease us with a smile. I am so very, very grateful for the help he gave me over the past two or so years, and I feel lucky to have had a chance to speak to him while he was amongst us.

Rest in peace, Deerman, and may where-ever you be now be filled with warm, clear days and peafowl of all colors and gentle manners.
