I made a crock pot full of chicken and dumplings today, thinking by now I would be curled up on the couch, with a big bowl and watching the snow fall. Ohhh noooo, I'm sitting here on BYC with my bowl instead!

It is snowing here in West GA! Got my pot of Chili heating up!

I am a county inland (NC) and they are calling for 2"+. This is very strange since the last time we really got snow was probably 10 years ago. I vaguely remember it. They have already called off school for tomorrow for my county.

Good thing: No wild, crazy youngin's excited about the snow.
Bad thing: We're going to have to reschedule exams.

The kids are all excited and waiting for the snow. They just announced that there will be no school tomorrow here in Harnett county.

I live in macon cty NC. We have had snow off and on all day. It did not stick but was like a drizzle. Oh I hate in between days. I'd rather have a nice pretty snow and get it over with. Then some sunshine thankyou. Speckledhen I hope it cleared up for you. Can we pm you now?. We have water up in the bathtub and buckets to flush commodes and wash and also water is in the gallon water jugs and unopened ones too. We have a wood heater that takes the extra chill from the air. We have oil lamps and candles. We have new flashlight batteries. I have extra jugs of water put up for my chicks too. When I put theirs in I put acv in them. I have meat cooked etc. I am ready but want the sun back real soon. Jean

The front will probably stay north of us but I'm prepared (at Hubby's prompting)!!
All stocked on critter feed for the week and 2 50 gal drums where they won't freeze (the critters would have to drink pond-water after that's gone).
20 gals of drinking water stocked inside. Firewood stacked and kerosene heaters primed and ready to go.

I made a big pot of chicken&dumplings,
a pot of meat sauce for pasta, and a beef stew today AND 6 loaves of WW bread --- just in case.

If this misses us, I can freeze the extra --- but better safe than sorry.
