Sounds like a good day to bake and clean! We're predicted to drop to 20 F tonight, but started at 41 F this am. Snow so rarely falls on the beach!

Bummer. We've got a couple of inches on the ground in Elfland and might get more--first decent snow in about four years. My donkeys don't know what to make of it but the horse who came here from Ky is totally blase. The chickens are hiding in the chicken house.
yeh! the sun is out. Just a slight dusting left here in Franklin NC. ,24 degrees. My chicks are doing well. But, I will be glad to get out again tomorrow. I want to help my hb work on the new run for them and shed to give them an area to go out of the rain or snow. Also maybe a dryer area to scratch in. Yeh! I would love to have some sand put down in that area as we have red clay here. It would do better for dusting and maybe my white hens would not be orange half way up. lol. Everyone have a safe day. Guess Wake County NC is where we really are taking the beating... its still coming down like crazy! 4"+ so far and its not expected to pass until after 6pm.
I'm not exactly thrilled about it, and neither are my chickens.
Wow! vfem, I don't envy you. Brrrrr! I'm cold just looking at that!
I went out to feed and water my flock and thought I'd freeze to death. It's in the low 20's outside here and the wind is awful! The wind is what is making it so bad here. If it would lay I think it might be more bearable.
