Week old chick walking on hocks

Hello! I have a blue Orpington chick that was mail delivered a week ago. Everything was fine until she was like 5 days old when we noticed she was reluctant to walk on her feet and would mostly walk on her hocks with her wings flapping. I reviewed some discussions on here and it seems to sound like vitamin b2 deficiency so we did start her on a b complex yesterday- about 1 day after symptoms started. I am wondering if anyone has had similar experience with such a young chick? Today is the second day we have her the b complex and truly don’t see much improvement. I am not sure how long it might take. She can and does stand, but is very wobbly and doesn’t last long. She is eating and drinking

How old is she now? I don’t have experience with a chick walking in hocks but I can tell you from experience that vitamin therapy can take time to fully work. The severity of the deficiency can play into how long it takes for symptoms to resolve. While I would expect to start seeing improvement in a few days, it’s possible that you won’t see improvement for a week or so. All symptoms may not fully resolve fully for a few weeks. It can be discouraging to treat for issues like this at first bc it can seem like nothing is working. But deficiencies take time to replenish, keep at it.

A different scenario, long story, but I treated a wild bird for wry neck using vitamin E and a b complex. I did not see improvement for the first few days. I was discouraged and even talked about putting it down, thinking I was wrong about the diagnosis. After about a week I started to think I finally saw the slightest bit of improvement. Slowly, every week I did see improvement. It just takes time.
