Hi,
I want to start off by saying I know it's not cecal poop. It was a dollop of yellow frothy poop with a small part of regular poop. It was true yellow- no mustard tone. On the poop page it matches what is labeled symptomatic of worms- how could my little chick have gotten worms? She is on medicated feed and that's all she has eaten. She is very active- I had a chick suddenly die with out symptom on day 4. I'm also worried that the antibiotic my feed store provided- because there was question of coccidiosis due to a replacement chick for the chick that died- I think I was wrong about the coccidiosis. But anyway the antibiotic is duramycin10, and it says not for use in poultry that lays eggs for human consumption. It's also yellow, could that have caused it. I have added it to the water only twice. Thanks my feed store is tired of me calling

Your chick does not have cecal worms nor blackhead. Incubation time for blackhead alone is 15-21 days...wont happen in a week old chick.
Switch to non medicated chick starter and treat them with corid. It'll be in the cattle section at the feed store. Duramycin is mainly used for respiratory diseases, I dont recommend using it.

Should I not use corid if I am using medicated feed or do use not like the use of medicated feed?

Just make sure it's not simply cecal droppings before you medicate. If they've been on medicated feed it's pretty unlikely that they have cocci unless it's a bad strain. Get them off all meds, including the medicated feed, and see how they do for a few days. It could be a number of things, let me go look some things up.

IMHO, poop should *never* be foamy. When I have foamy poop here, it always means coccidiosis in chicks or histomoniasis (blackhead) in peachicks and poults.

Like whipped egg whites, it's not cecal poop- totally wrong in color
