Weighed one of my Turkeys today and......

I agree.. but they don't look like my Royal Palms! Do they have black on their wings and tails??

Mine had their black feathers at a VERY young age. They're five months old now.

Well, undoubtly the farm store I bought them from got the wrong shipment then. They were selling them as Royal Palms.

So is the broad breasted White better? But I wanted Royal Palms for their colors.

Probably the broad breasted will have more meat! So that's the GOOD news!

But I can't raise any of them due to the fact that they don't naturally reproduce due to their large size.

This upsets me. I have waited all this time so that they would start reproducing in the Spring so I wouldn' have to buy turkeys anymore

I am calling the farm store tomorrow and I'm going to let them know that they owe me 2 Royal Palm Turkeys or either my money back.

I wanted fertile eggs to hatch.

I wanted fresh turkeys to process for dinners.

Now I have to wait another year.

I know that's really disappointing. If you'd like, I could mail you some eggs in the Spring, but it would be quicker for you to buy poults.

If it makes you feel any better we processed our WBB and our biggest one was 36.10 pounds and only 6 months old!!! Here's a pic before:
