Weird colored egg???

My Rhode Island Reds lay cream colored eggs. Puzzled the heck out of me, but I've caught them in the act of laying more than once, so I know it's them.

Easter eggers are also often sold under the pretense of being purebred Ameraucanas, so depending on where you purchased them, they may actually be mixed breeds and might be the culprit for your cream-colored egg. We purchased five "ameraucanas" that lay everything from a pale blue-gray egg to a light olive green.

Sounds like you've got the process of elimination well under hand then! Just keep an eye on them and eventually you'll figure out who is laying the misleading egg. :)
