Hi all, I have a silver apple yard with a weird overgrowth on both of her middle toes. I have no idea what it is. I trimmed some of it off but not much as I was afraid of making her bleed. Did not see any obvious sign of infection. Help. What is this and how do I fix it?!

From the photos, it looks like it could be possible hyperkeratosis. I've seen this in dogs (and it presents a little differently), and it's basically an overgrowth of keratin that is typically managed surgically.

Soaking her feet in an Epsom salt bath and/or applying a moisturizer like coconut oil may help soften the calloused areas. Others managing the condition have suggested ensuring that ducks have clean, dry bedding and plenty of access to water for swimming.

This thread (which also links to other related threads) may be helpful. Best of luck!
