I never thought to preserve it. After I'm done parading it around and showing it off, I think I'll let them have it. Although I still don't know who is the one laying!Very nice. I ate mine. Some people poke a hole in the top and bottom and blow out the contents to preserve it.
I recommend cooking it first, just as a precaution. Chickens do love eating eggs regardless.I never thought to preserve it. After I'm done parading it around and showing it off, I think I'll let them have it. Although I still don't know who is the one laying!
I've read that I can microwave the shells and give those to them? How long do you microwave them for?I recommend cooking it first, just as a precaution. Chickens do love eating eggs regardless.
I regularly gave my young chicks some egg yolk. It is the perfect food for young chickens as it has all of the nutrients necessary to develop their bodies. Whites are also fine, but are basically just a protein and water mixture to absorb shocks while the young bird develops.

I bake mine (I keep a small tray near the oven and just toss them in whenever I'm preheating the oven for dinner) - makes them much easier to crush and gets rid of any germs or yolk residue.I've read that I can microwave the shells and give those to them? How long do you microwave them for?
