Yes exactly ! So they know that it's not right is that why it's never in the nesting box?

Have you tried fake eggs or golf balls in your next boxes?

Found this, this morning. From my 3-4yr old hen. She took a break from laying for quite a while, had a regular egg a couple of days ago. Aside from the usual, anything I need to be worried about?

Cut it open and take more pics.......sure looks like a 'lash egg'....sign of infection.

Already fed it to the chickens, dog. Was solid all the way thru. Color remained the same. Like a mix of shell, yolk? Rubbery.
